CONTRAINDICATIONS AND PREPARATION

While dermal fillers are safe for most, they are not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active skin infections, or certain autoimmune conditions. To prepare, we advise avoiding alcohol, blood-thinning medications (like aspirin or ibuprofen), and intense exercise for 24 hours before your appointment. AFTERCARE

Following your treatment, mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection sites is normal and usually subsides within a few days. To aid healing, avoid touching your face, hot environments (saunas, sunbeds), alcohol, and strenuous exercise for 48 hours. Keeping your skin hydrated and protected from the sun will also enhance the longevity of your results.   • What am I to expect after my treatment?

    Immediately after the treatment, patients may experience slight redness, swelling or tenderness around the area that has been treated. They may also experience raised or inflamed skin as well as itching in the treatment area. These side effects are completely natural and tend to subside in one to two days for the vast majority of patients who experience them. On rare occasions, patients may also bruise. However, all of these symptoms will gradually disappear over a period of 7-14 days.
