TREATMENT INFORMATION

Anti-wrinkle injections reduce the appearance of dynamic lines by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for repetitive facial movements. While most people associate this treatment with the upper face, including the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet, it can also be used very effectively in the lower face and neck. Treatments may help to soften bunny lines on the nose, relax muscles around the mouth to improve a downturned or “sad” smile, reduce smoker’s lines around the lips, gently enhance the appearance of the lips with a lip flip, and relax neck muscles to reduce tension and improve overall appearance. CONTRAINDICATIONS AND PREPARATION

Anti-wrinkle injections may not be suitable for everyone. Treatment is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a known allergy to botulinum toxin or any of the product ingredients, have an active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or suffer from certain neurological or muscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis. To achieve the best possible results, clients are advised to avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before treatment and to refrain from taking blood-thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or vitamin E unless prescribed by a healthcare professional. Please attend your appointment with a clean face free from makeup where possible, and inform your practitioner of any recent illnesses, vaccinations, or changes to your medical history.

AFTERCARE

Following treatment, you should avoid touching or massaging the treated areas for at least 24 hours. Strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and alcohol should be avoided for the remainder of the day. It is recommended to remain upright for at least four hours after treatment and to avoid lying flat during this time. Mild redness, swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites are normal and usually settle within a few hours. Full aftercare advice will be provided at your appointment.
